bake the Cookie Shoppe

This review is overdue but, necessary.

Let’s get this out of the way: the cookies are 🔥 especially that oreo milkshake (my personal favorite). I can go on and on about the product but, that’s not why Chad and his team get 5 stars.

I made an online order the night before Christmas Eve Eve (12/22) for their dubai cookies (both versions), oreo+ube and oreo milkshake. I arrived an hour before closing on Christmas Eve Eve to find out they completely ran out of oreo+ube (not surprised, it’s a really good flavor) to my disappointment. My oreo+ube was replaced with more oreo milkshake cookies. I could not understand why an online order from the day before would go overlooked. I ended up leaving disappointed and quite honestly, a little upset. Not even an hour goes by when I get a call from Chad, who immediately apologized for the error and offered to make it right. Chad was willing to open extra early the next day just to get my cookies made so I can pass them out to my office (cookies were meant for them) in time. I told Chad that was very gracious, kind and considerate but would have to decline due to my work schedule. Chad wouldn’t accept that and offered to have it delivered to my work instead. I could’ve said yes but, still declined because the apology (that’s just me, I’ve been in the hospitality industry all my life and just turned off by hustlers) was all I needed. Chad didn’t have to go above and beyond to satisfy lil ol me but, he genuinely tried to make it right. And he truly did.
The moral? Support small businesses who are genuinely trying to create a connection with their customers and the community. I will always support a business that prioritizes customer care/feedback even if the product is not out of this world. Luckily, they have great cookies and I now need to make my way down there for that guava crumble….
